We are led by a dedicated board of directors who have a shared love of classic cars and commitment to WeSeeHope.

DARREN CAPEHORN

Darren was a leading architect in the development of UK faster payments and in 2009 he co-founded Icon Solutions, a bespoke IT payment services company. Enticed by the work of WeSeeHope and with a love for classic cars, Darren got involved with the Rally in 2016 and is now our Chairman.

IAN BUSBY

Ian was the Founding Director of The Health Hive, a leading international healthcare communication agency. He now sits as a non-exec on a number of boards across industries. His insights have enabled Hope Classic Rally to develop its sponsor partnerships and his connections with the car community has helped us to curate the most incredible lineup of cars.

ANDREW GUY

Andrew is the CEO of the ADG Group, a diverse financial services business built upon entrepreneurial spirit, industry expertise and innovative technology, having co-founded the organisation in 2006. The Rally was born out of Andrew’s desire to drive new fundraising activity for WeSeeHope, having been a committed supporter for many years.

PHIL WALL

Phil is an international business coach working with executives, portfolio managers and elite sportsmen, supporting their personal and professional development. He is also the co-founder of WeSeeHope alongside his wife, Wendy. Phil has been on the board since the beginning, using his strong networking skills to drive support for the Rally.

The board work together with an organising team and group of Ambassadors who volunteer their time and energy to ensure every guest has a truly memorable time.

MARINA HAMILTON

Marina has 20 years’ experience delivering live events in the corporate, education and charity sectors. She joined the Hope Classic Rally team in 2018 having been inspired by the work and impact of WeSeeHope. Marina is responsible for logistics and operations, ensuring that our guests have a seamless experience from start to finish.

MARC YOUNG

Marc has a 15-year track record of investing in and advising growth technology companies. He has been responsible for advising on more than 50 IPOs and numerous capital raising and M&A mandates. Introduced to the Rally through a friend of WeSeeHope, Marc uses his background and networks to help drive support for the event.

PHIL AIKEN

Phil has an extensive background developing strategic marketing partnerships in the automotive, aviation and marine industries. He has been involved with the Hope Classic Rally since its inception, developing partnerships to grow the profile of and participation in the event, as well as liaising with the generous supporters who loan their cars.

rICHARD TUTHILL

Formally a rally driver, now Director and owner of globally recognised specialist workshop Tuthill, and an advocate for all things Porsche, Richard brings a wealth of industry knowledge, connections, and momentum to the Hope Classic Rally. His family-owned business now employs 95+ people, supporting and organising competitive and non-competitive experiences across the globe. Tuthill builds and restores some of the world’s finest Porsche 911 road cars, with a focus on road, race, and rallying, alongside special projects and limited series.

SIMON THOMAS

Simon is an author, motivational speaker and podcaster. He began his career in TV presenting Blue Peter for six years, before moving on to Sky Sports where he was the face of live Premier League football until 2018. In 2023 Simon become the new presenter of the iconic Sky Sports Soccer Saturday. A long-time friend and supporter of WeSeeHope, he has generously hosted our evening dinner for a number of years and helps to increase awareness of this unique event.

AMANDA STRETTON

As one of the UK’s leading female motorsport, classic car and automotive TV broadcasters, Amanda has built a reputation for her knowledge and understanding of the international car industry, developing technologies, government policy and consumer motoring. But she is more than just a spokesperson; she has also gone on to race competitively in modern GT and Le Mans prototypes on the world’s most famous race tracks, and is still the only British female racing driver to have ever won an International long distance GT race.
